Elizabeth Rahman is a social and medical anthropologist (DPhil Oxford, 2013). As the Senior Evaluation Officer for the Centre for Teaching and Learning, she conducts in-house research and evaluation in collaboration with colleagues across the collegiate University. Her focus is developmental evaluation using qualitative research methods.

Elizabeth held the ESRC Global Challenges Impact fellowship in 2016-2017 in the Oxford Department for International Development (ODID) to work on Intercultural teacher training projects. She is currently designing a second-year undergraduate course in the Anthropology of Sex and Gender for the Department of Continuing Education (Conted) and delivers the archaeology and anthropology field module for Durham University students in the Canary Islands.

She currently teaches the postgraduate course in Mixed Methods in Anthropology for the School of Anthropology Museum Ethnography (SAME) and occasionally supervises undergraduate and postgraduate theses in anthropology, archaeology and the human sciences.

Her latest publications include a Special Issue on Indigenous Knowing and Learning for the Oxford Review of Education, the editorial and an article (2023), a book chapter in the Routledge edited volume on Anthropological Perspectives on the Global Challenges (2023) and a methods-focused book chapter in the Palgrave edited volume on Unfamiliar Landscapes: Young People and Diverse Outdoor Experiences (2022).
