The witchdoctors' guide to psychoanalysis: an artist engagement with anthropology

The first part of the talk is a satirical performance based on the said ‘guide’. The second part of the talk is ‘footnotes’ to the guide which will be used to expand on my engagement with anthropology and the gift - Mauss, Levi-Strauss, Bataille, Lacan, Derrida, Zizek etc via Nyau, a concept of gift giving from the Chewa (my father’s tribe).
