Dr Sabine Parrish

Postdoctoral Affiliate

Sabine Parrish is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Food Policy at City, University of London. An anthropologist of food, she is currently leading qualitative work into family food and eating habits as they relate to healthy eating programmes and obesity prevention policies across four London boroughs. 

She completed her DPhil in Anthropology at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography (St Peter’s College) in 2021, under the supervision of Inge Daniels.

She is an affiliate of the Unit for Biocultural Variation and Obesity, where she has worked on a number of projects, including spatialities of children’s physical activity and interventions for gestational diabetes in The Gambia. She continues to collaborate on the UBVO project examining English food purchasing and eating habits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
